Valour here is not spectacle nor triumph.
It is the courage to remain standing amid difficulty, internal or external, without illusion.
These works consider valour as an act of seeing.
The ability to look through smoke and mirrors, to endure uncertainty, and to clear one’s own path through debris rather than wait for it to be revealed.
In this sense, courage is solitary.
It is the decision to move forward without guarantee, to assume responsibility for one’s direction, and to find guidance not beyond the storm, but from within it.
